Hi; I’m Tom Sawyer and I am the very best boy that you ever did meet! My scruffy, wiry coat makes me cute as a button and I loooooove snuggles! I am house trained and crate trained, though my foster family lets me stay out of the crate because I don’t chew anything, and I’m not destructive at all. The vet thinks I am about one and a half years old, but we don’t know for sure because I was found stray. I walk well on a leash, and I love going for walks! I also love riding in the car, but for some reason, I’m not allowed in the driver’s lap, haha. I’ve been allowed to sleep in the human bed: I snuggle up at the foot of the bed and don’t cause any trouble all night. I’m also an excellent watch dog!

I am good with dogs, and I would like a doggie buddy in my new home. I’m doing fine as an only dog, but I’m a little lonely when my people are gone, so a new doggie buddy to keep me company would be nice.

I am listed as "foster-to-adopt" because I had heartworms when RUFF found me. RUFF treated my heartworms, but I need a test in a few months to confirm they're all gone, and then my adoption can be finalized.
