I am looking for that perfect fit, and my foster family (which includes two young boys and three other dogs) loves me so much, they promised I can only go when it's just right. I'm quiet and loyal. I am the best dog on the leash out of all of the dogs, so my human boys and foster parents take me for long walks. If they stop to chat with neighbors, I sit quietly or take a rest until they're ready to go. When they're ready, I'm ready! I like to be in the same room with my family, and if I can rest my head on you, even better. Fortunately, my foster mom has her office at home, so I can be right with her. I need a home with a family that's around a lot, and kids to play with would be ideal. I am a little shy, but not timid - let's say I'm cautious. Reach out your hand to me, and I'll venture slowly over for a pat. . .and then some more. I love my nyla-bone and stuffed toys the most, and am content to curl up in a corner spot wherever it's comfy. My family has been taking me out to be sure I'm well-socialized, and I had a great time sitting on the outdoor patio at a local pub, while everyone enjoyed dinner. For some reason, we had a lot of people stop by the table that night and they all kept saying, "Awwww!" No complaints from me, though, because I got lots of head rubs! I am not a dog that would be happy left outside for long periods unless you're out there with me, and I like having someone around during the day so I'm not left crated or alone. I get along well with my foster dogs, but I'm not a "jump-right-in-the-mix" kind of girl. I like to sit by my humans and get a handle on things before I'll run the yard with the rest of the crew. Once I grow into these feet, I'll need a lot of room in your house, your fenced yard, and your heart. (JT)
