I am a special girl!  For one thing I am a female orange tabby (we are not "rare" but we are uncommon). The other unique thing about me is that I am a polydactyl. For humans who have never heard of polydactyl cats here is a quick history: i Simply put, polydactyl cats have more than the usual number of toes on one or all of their paws. Ernest Hemingway, Nobel prizewinning author, was one of the most famous lovers of polydactyl cats. Because of his love for these felines, they are sometimes known as Hemingway cats. To this day, his home in Key West Florida is a museum and home for the descendants of his beloved cats. Polydactyls are known to be great with children and make wonderful family pets. (BWh)
